How do I turn on location services for an Android mobile device? (CA)

DraftKings is required to determine the location of your computer while using our services. This is necessary to participate in DraftKings Daily Fantasy contests or place wagers in the DraftKings Sportsbook or Casino in authorized states.  To learn how to change your Android mobile device's permission settings to allow DraftKings to determine your location, please select the option you wish to use from the list below.  

• DraftKings Android Mobile App
• Android Default Browser
• Android Chrome or Firefox Browsers
• Enable high accuracy 

How to share location data when using the DraftKings Android Mobile App

1. Turn on Location Services and Allow Location Sharing: Go to Settings > Scroll down to Location > ON

2. Select App access to location

3. Choose DraftKings from the list of apps. Select the option “Allow only while using the app"

How to share location data when using the Android Default Browser

1. Turn on Location Services and Allow Location Sharing: Go to Settings > Scroll down to Location > ON
   

2. Open draftkings.com in the browser and click Allow the browser to use your device’s location.

3. If the pop-up did not appear or you clicked on the Block button by mistake, please follow these steps to reset Location Data permission: Click on the Menu icon > Settings > Scroll down to Privacy and Security > Delete browsing data
   

4. Select Cookies and site Data & Location access data > Delete > Return to draftkings.com and refresh the web page.

    

How to share location data when using the Android Chrome or Firefox Browsers

Chrome Browser

1. Turn on Location Services and Allow Location Sharing: Go to Settings > Scroll down to Location > ON
   

2. Open draftkings.com in the Chrome browser and Allow the browser to use your device’s location.

3. If the pop-up did not appear or you clicked on the Block button by mistake, please follow these steps to reset Location Settings permission:
   Click on the three dots Menu icon at the top bar > Settings > Site settings
   

4. In the Blocked section, click on the DraftKings link > Allow > Then return to draftkings.com.

    

Firefox Browser

1. Turn on Location Services and Allow Location Sharing: Go to Settings > Scroll down to Location > ON
   

2. Open draftkings.com in the Firefox browser and Allow the browser to use your device’s location.

3. If the pop-up did not appear or you clicked on the Don’t Allow button by mistake, please follow these steps to reset Location Data permission: Click on the three dots Menu icon at the top bar > Settings > Site permissions
   

4. Select Location > Ask to allow > Return to draftkings.com and refresh the web page.

    

Enable high accuracy

On an Android device, you can also Enable high accuracy: 

1. Open Settings for your device.
2. Tap Connections. 
3. Tap Location. 
4. Tap Location Method. 
5. Enable High Accuracy.
