Below are several FAQs to assist you with questions related to this change:
Why are you closing your website?
DraftKings has determined that it is in the best interests of the company to discontinue operations in Great Britain.
I have already entered into a contest that hasn't finished or hasn't started yet. How will those contests be resolved?
Any live contest entries submitted prior to 4:30am GMT on 4.10.2024 will continue in the ordinary course and will be settled in accordance with our Terms of Use and the official rules and regulations for the relevant contest(s).
Any entries submitted in contests that have not yet started will be cancelled and your entry fee refunded to you.
Any already-drafted Best Ball entries will remain active entries. Any entries in Best Ball contests where the draft has not yet been completed, including where the draft has not started, will be cancelled and your entry fee will be refunded.
How will Crowns, DK Dollars, Contest Tickets and Achievements remaining in my account be treated?
DraftKings will convert the DK Dollars, Crowns, and Contest Tickets in your account to the equivalent of real USD that can be withdrawn, as follows:
- DK Dollars: $1 DK Dollar = $1 USD;
- Crowns: 550 Crowns = $1 USD;
- Contest Tickets: $1 of Contest Ticket value = $1 USD.
For example: $5 DK Dollars = $5 USD; 25,000 Crowns = $45.46 USD; $10 Contest Ticket = $10 USD.
The conversion rate from USD to Pounds is determined at the point you initiate the withdrawal.
DraftKings will award the USD cash value of any Ironman Achievement payouts to any player who was still eligible for an Ironman Achievement (based on the conversion ratios above). DraftKings will also pay out the cash value of any other pending Achievements.

How are withdrawals processed?
DraftKings will distribute withdrawal amounts by payment method in the following manner: DraftKings will take the SUM of all deposits a user has made in the last 6 months for each payment method, and then divide each total amount by the SUM of all deposits across all payment methods to reach a percentage. We then multiply the total withdrawal amount by each of these percentages to calculate the proportion paid out to each payment instrument.
If there is no deposit in the last 6 months, we will allocate 100% of the withdrawal to the most recently used payment method.
Here is an example:
- Example: A user makes 2 deposits in the past 6 months. Deposit 1 = Visa $100.00 & Deposit 2 = PayPal $100.00
- Customer then Requests a $300.00 withdrawal.
- DraftKings system will calculate that $200.00 was deposited in the last six months.
- DraftKings system will calculate the % owed to Visa & Paypal (amount deposited with VISA or PayPal divided by Total Amount Deposited)
- In this case: Visa - 100/200=50%; PayPal - 100/200=50%
- DraftKings will then multiply each % by the withdrawal request amount ($300.00), giving us the following breakdown:
-
- 50% for Visa = $150.00
- 50% for Paypal = $150.00
