Deposit Bonus: Casino Bonus - Overview (US)

What is a Casino Deposit Bonus?

A Casino Deposit Bonus is a promotional offer customers can participate in that will match a percentage of their deposit with Casino Bonus funds.  Casino Deposit Bonuses may have a play-through requirement to complete the Casino Deposit Bonus. For complete eligibility requirements and offer details, please review the Terms and Conditions of the Casino deposit bonus offer you have received.

Frequently asked questions:

What is a play-through requirement?

A play-through requirement is the amount you must play-through on casino games to complete the bonus offer and for the associated winnings to be eligible for withdrawal as cash.

The play-through requirement is determined using the original deposit amount, the matched Casino Bonus funds, and the play-through multiplier stated in the offer.

Please note that the play-through multiplier is specified in the Casino Deposit Bonus terms and conditions.

As an example only: If the Casino Deposit Bonus is a 50% deposit match up to $1,500 with a 15x play-through multiplier and 30 days to complete the play-through, you would need to deposit $3,000 (the “original deposit”) to be awarded the maximum deposit match in Casino Bonus Funds of $1,500.

You would then have to wager the original deposit and the $1,500 in Casino Bonus Funds 15 times during the 30 days (720 hour) play-through period, for a cumulative play-through total of a minimum of $67,500 (at a 100% contribution rate ($4,500 * 15 times = $67,500) or a maximum of $675,000 (at a 10% contribution rate) in casino products based on the contribution rate of the casino product. See the “What is a Contribution Rate” Section below for more information on contribution rates.

If you meet the play-through requirement within the 30 day period, you will be awarded any winnings generated from the play-through of the original deposit, however, in the event you do not meet the play-through requirement within the 30 day period, any winnings from the initial deposit and Casino Bonus Funds, the Casino Bonus Funds, and the lost portion of the original deposit will expire and be forfeited.

To calculate a Play-through Requirement:

Add:

  • Original deposit + matched Casino Bonus funds = combined total

Then, multiply:

  • Combined total x play-through multiplier = total play-through requirement.

As an example only:

If the Casino Deposit Bonus is a 50% deposit match up to $1,500 with a 15x play-through multiplier and you deposit $3,000, the play-through requirement would be

Add:

  • $3,000 deposit + $1,500 in Casino Bonus Funds (50% match ) = $4,500

Then, multiply:

  • $4,500 x 15 play-through multiplier = $67,500 play-through requirement (“PTR”), if playing 100% contribution rate Casino games.

The complete terms and conditions regarding the offer can be located on the promotions page. You find more information regarding play-through requirements on What is a Casino Deposit Bonus.

What is a contribution rate?

While a customer can wager on many Casino games available on DraftKings, not every game contributes the same percentage toward the play-through requirement. Here are the current contribution rates:
Game Category Contribution Percentage:
Most Slots, Rocket, Keno, Virtual Sports 100%
Blackjack, Other Table Games, & Select Slots* 20%
Live Dealer Games, Video Poker, Baccarat, and Roulette 10%
Craps & Other Variety Games 0%

What happens to my funds if I don’t meet the play-through requirements or decide to forfeit the casino deposit bonus?

If the play-through requirement is not met during the applicable period, any winnings, bonus funds, and lost wagered portion of the original deposit will expire and be forfeited.

At any point, a player may decide to forfeit their casino deposit bonus and remove themselves from the promotion. Forfeiture of the casino deposit bonus will result in the loss of any wagered lost portion of the original deposit, any remaining bonus funds, and any winnings tied to the forfeited casino deposit bonus promotion. A forfeiture is not reversible and no exceptions will be made.

What if I play a game that does not contribute 100% toward the play-through requirement?

If a customer is playing a game that doesn’t contribute 100% toward the play-through requirement, then a lower percentage will count towards the play-through requirement.

As an example only: If a customer wagers $100 on Live Dealer Blackjack, only 10% of the wager would contribute towards the play-through requirement, which would be $10.

How does a Casino Deposit Bonus play-through the funds on my account?

Casino Deposit Bonuses will always play-through the funds in the following order:

  1. Original deposit
  2. Casino Bonus funds
  3. Any winnings locked to the Casino Deposit Bonus until the total play-through requirement is met.

As an example only: If the Casino Deposit Bonus is a 50% deposit match up to $1,500 with a 15x play-through multiplier and you deposit $3,000:

Add:

  • $3,000 deposit + $1,500 in Casino Bonus Funds (50% match ) = $4,500

Then, multiply:

  • $4,500 x 15 play-through multiplier = $67,500 play-through requirement if playing 100% contribution rate Casino games.

The funds would be played through in the following order:

  1. Original deposit of $3,000
  2. Casino bonus funds of $1,500
  3. Any winnings are locked (meaning can’t be withdrawn) until the total play-through requirement is met for $67,500 (if playing 100% contribution rate games).
    • Once the $67,500 play-through requirement is reached, any winnings are unlocked and can be withdrawn.
    • If you played through the original deposit and casino bonus funds to $0, the casino deposit bonus offer then ends.
    • You can continue to wager your locked winnings until you meet the play-through requirement, at which point the winnings will unlock and can be withdrawn. However, if the promotion period ends and the play-through requirement has not been met, the offer expires and any bonus funds, locked winnings, and lost wagered portion of the original deposit will be forfeited.

What happens if I have wagered my funds?

For the purposes of this promotion, the funds wagered are debited from the original deposit first. Any funds received as a result of wagers placed using the original deposit will subsequently be classified as winnings. Any winnings received will be tied to the Casino Deposit Bonus and locked until the play-through requirement is met.

As an example only: You deposited $3,000 and received a 50% Casino Bonus match of $1,500 in Casino Bonus Funds. If you then wagered $50 on Blackjack, and won $100 in this game. The $50 would be deducted from your $3,000 original deposit first, taking it to $2,950, while the $100 in winnings would be locked to the Casino Deposit Bonus until the play-through requirement is met.

What happens when I forfeit my Casino Deposit Bonus?

You can decide to forfeit your Casino Deposit Bonus at any time. However, forfeiture of the bonus will result in the loss of any wagered portion of the original deposit, any remaining bonus funds, and any winnings tied to this bonus promotion. For more information, please go to How do I forfeit my Casino Deposit Bonus.

As an example only: If the Casino Deposit Bonus is a 50% deposit match up to $1,500 and you deposit $3,000: if you wagered $50 on Golden Nugget Blackjack (which has a 20% contribution rate), and won $100 in this game, $50 would be deducted from your $3,000 deposit, taking it to $2,950. If you then decided to forfeit the Casino Deposit Bonus, you would forfeit the $1,500 of casino bonus funds and the $100 in winnings.

You would then receive the $2,950 left over from your original deposit.
