What types of tickets are available for Fantasy Sports Contests?
DraftKings awards contest tickets to players as both prizes and promotional rewards. Depending on the ticket, players can redeem them by entering contests from the lobby, entering a contest through Ticket contest dropdown on the My Tickets page, or having the ticket be auto-redeemed by DraftKings.
The most common contest tickets on DraftKings include:
- Generic/Cash Tickets
- Generic tickets typically have an assigned value and can be redeemed by entering contests with a matching entry fee in the lobby. Sometimes, these tickets can be sport-specific.
- Qualifier Tickets
- Qualifier tickets are won as a prize or part of a prize from a contest. The ticket gives players entry into another higher-stakes contest. Typically, qualifier tickets are auto-redeemed by DraftKings when entries for the contest are ready to be drafted. Players still need to create a lineup after the ticket has been auto-redeemed.
- Best Ball Round
- Transfer Tickets
- Round transfer tickets are won based on performance in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round contests of a Best Ball tournament. Players are awarded round transfer tickets if they are advancing to the next round of the tournament. Players are automatically placed in their next round contest, and no action is required from the player to redeem the ticket or enter the subsequent round of the Best Ball tournament.
- Contest-Specific Tickets
- Tickets for specific DFS contests are awarded to players as either a prize or a promotional offer. These tickets will be on a player’s My Tickets page. Once the applicable contest is posted, players will be able to redeem the ticket by entering the contest from the My Tickets page.
- Recurring Contest
- Specific Tickets
- Tickets for specific recurring DFS contests are awarded to players as either a prize or a promotional offer. These tickets will be listed on a player’s My Tickets page. When an eligible contest is posted, players will need to redeem the ticket by entering the contest through the lobby or the My Tickets page. Players can find these contests by filtering the lobby to only show contests they can use a ticket to enter.
Additional Notes: Customers can also win Experience Tickets as placeholders for an in-person event. Customers will not need to take further action on these Tickets.
