What happens if I leave an allowed jurisdiction in the middle of a game session? (US)

JUMP TO SECTION

If you leave a jurisdiction where sports betting is legal and enter a jurisdiction where it isn't during an active game session, here's what will happen:

  • Your session will be immediately terminated. You won’t be able to place any new bets.
  • Even though your session ends, you’ll still be able to view your placed bets and promotions even from a non-permitted jurisdiction.
  • You can log in to deposit or withdraw funds from your account.
  • Once you return to a permitted jurisdiction and DraftKings verifies your location, you'll be eligible to wager again.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • What happens if I leave a state that allows sports betting after placing a bet?
    • Your bet will proceed as normal since it was placed in a jurisdiction that allows sports wagering. You can track your bet by logging into your DraftKings account and selecting the My Bets tab.

For more information on which states allow sports betting, check out where DraftKings Sportsbook is available.
