How do I turn on location services for a web browser? (US)

Important Information

DraftKings is required to determine the location of your computer while using our services. This is necessary to participate in DraftKings Daily Fantasy contests or place wagers in the DraftKings Sportsbook or Casino in authorized states. To learn how to change your permission settings to allow your browser to share your location information, please select the browser you wish to use from the list below.

How to share location data when using the Google Chrome Browser

By default, Chrome asks you when a site wants to see your location. To let DraftKings know where you are, you must choose Allow. DraftKings services won't function properly if you don't permit location sharing.  

How to share location data when using the Google Chrome Browser on Windows 

  1. Navigate to draftkings.com and click the lock icon to the left of the address bar. 
  2. From the dropdown that appears, select Site settings.
  3. In the Permissions section of Privacy and security, scroll to Location.
  4. Select Allow from the dropdown to the right.
  5. Return to draftkings.com and reload the page.

How to share location data when using the Google Chrome Browser on MacOS

  1. Visit draftkings.com and Allow the website to collect location data.
  2. If the pop-up did not appear or you clicked on the Block button by mistake, please follow these steps to reset Location Data and Privacy: Click on the Location error mceclip0.png or Lock icon to the left of the address bar > Always allow the site to access your location > Done
  3. Click Open Preferences
  4. On the Privacy tab, select Location Services, then click the Lock icon.
  5. Enter your computer’s password > choose Google Chrome > Return to draftkings.com and refresh the web page.

How to share location data when using the Firefox Browser

How to share location data when using the Firefox Browser on Windows

  1. Visit draftkings.com and Allow the browser to collect location data when prompted in the upper-left corner of the screen.
  2. Click on the Location error icon Screenshot_2021-07-19_172612.png > Under the Permissions section, click on the X icon next to Blocked Temporarily > Return to the draftkings.com and refresh the web page.

If the pop-up did not appear or you clicked on the Block button by mistake, please follow these steps to reset your Privacy & Security Settings:

  1. Click on the ≡  in the upper right corner.
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Click on Privacy & Security. 
  4. Scroll down to Permissions.
  5. Go to Location and click on Settings.
  6. Uncheck the box for Block new requests asking to access your location.

How to share location data when using the Firefox Browser on MacOS

  1. Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy.
  2. On the Privacy tab, select Location Services, then click the Lock icon, and enter your computer’s password.
  3. Check Enable Location Services > choose Firefox > return to draftkings.com and refresh the web page.
  4. Allow the website to use your current location.
  5. If the pop-up did not appear or you clicked on the Block button by mistake, please follow these steps to reset Location Data and Privacy: Click on the Location error icon Screenshot_2021-07-19_172612.png > Under the Permissions section, click on the X icon next to Blocked Temporarily > Return to draftkings.com and refresh the web page.

How to share location data when using the Safari Browser on MacOS

  1. Visit draftkings.com and Allow the website to use your current location.
  2. If the pop-up did not appear or you clicked on the Don’t Allow button by mistake, please follow these steps to reset Location Data and Privacy: Click on the Safari menu > Preferences.
  3. On the Websites tab > Location > choose the DraftKings link > Allow
