How do I turn on location services for an Android mobile device? (US)

DraftKings is required to determine the location of your computer while using our services. This is necessary to participate in DraftKings Daily Fantasy  contests or place wagers in the DraftKings Sportsbook or Casino in authorized states. in authorized states. To learn how to change your Android mobile device's permission settings to allow DraftKings to determine your location, please select the option you wish to use from the list below. 

How to share location data when using the DraftKings Android Mobile App

Please note steps may vary depending on the player’s Android device.

    1. To turn on Location Services and Allow Location Sharing, Go to Settings.
    2. Scroll down and tap on Location.
    3. Toggle Location to “ON”
    4. Select App Permissions
    5. Choose DraftKings from the list of apps. 
    6. Select the option “Allow only while using the app"
    7. Scroll down to  Use Precise Location, and toggle it to “ON”.

How to enable precise location

On an Android device, you can also Enable Precise Location: 

  1. Press and hold the DraftKings app. This will open a window with the Settings for your DraftKings app.
  2. Tap the “i” icon in the upper right corner of the window.
  3. Go to Screen Time and toggle on to Remove permissions if app is unused.
  4. Tap Permission. 
  5. Tap Location. 
  6. Tap Location Permissions. 
  7. Toggle on “Allow only while using the app"
  8. Scroll down to  Use Precise Location, and toggle it “ON”.

How to share location data when using the Android Google Chrome on Mobile Web

Please note that steps may vary depending on the player’s individual Android's device.

Chrome Browser

  1. Turn on Location Services and Allow Location Sharing: Go to Settings > Scroll down to Location > ON
  2. Open DraftKings in the Chrome browser and Allow the browser to use your device’s location.
  3. If the pop-up did not appear or you clicked on the Block button by mistake, please follow these steps to reset Location Settings permission:
    Click on the three dots Menu icon at the top bar > Settings > Site settings
  4. In the Blocked section, click on the DraftKings link > Allow > Then return to DraftKings
