When a Fantasy Sports contest results in a tie between two or more players, the related prize pool positions will be evenly split among each of the players.
- If the prize is a ticket, the value of the ticket will be split between the players.
- If the prize is a ticket to a Qualifier contest, DraftKings will create a tiebreaker contest for the tied users to compete in. The winner(s) of the tiebreaking contest will receive the ticket.
- If the prize is a ticket to advance to the next round of a Best Ball tournament, the tiebreaker will be which user has the highest scoring week in the round. If users are still tied after the highest scoring week, the tiebreaker moves to the second highest scoring week, then the next, until a winner is found.
As an example only: If the prize for 1st place is $200 and the prize for 2nd place is $100 and two players tie for 1st place, the prizes for 1st and 2nd place will be combined and split equally between them. In this case, they will each get $150.
Important Note: Specialty contests or contests with sponsor prizes may have different tie breaking rules. Please see the contest’s rules & scoring page or the terms of service for a specific promotion to learn more about how tie breaking scenarios are handled.
