Important Re-sizing Rules
If all available slots in your contest do not get filled up at the time a contest goes live, your contest may be resized. Resizing allows contests to run even though they do not meet the number of entries for which the contest was initially designed. If a contest is resized, it will attempt to keep the same payout structure as it was initially created to have. If that prize structure is unavailable, the next closest prize structure will be chosen.
Important information
- Only private contests can be resized
- The option for a contest to be auto-resized will be available in the Create a Contest.
- As an example only: if you invite a total of 7 people, but only 6 of the 7 join the contest, and if the contest was set as resizable, the contest will still lock and run.
- If the contest is not resizable in this example, the contest will not lock or run, and the contest will be canceled and all entry fees refunded.
- If a contest cannot be resized, it will be canceled and all entry fees will be refunded.
- Recurring contests’ settings will be based on the original contest’s settings.
- DraftKings Customer Support Team can not cancel contests.
- Not all contests can be set up as recurring contests.
