What is two-factor authentication (2FA)? (US)

Important Information

  • DraftKings Customer Support Team will never ask you to confirm a code that was sent to your device. If someone asks you for the code, please change your password immediately.
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA), also known as multi-factor authentication, is a way to add an extra layer of security to your account. When 2FA is enabled on your account, or you’re geolocated within Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania DraftKings performs 2FA via SMS text message to ensure the safety of your account.
  • Each time you log into your account, a unique code will be generated and sent to you as a text message on your phone. You'll then be required to enter that number as a second step of your login process.
  • Learn more about enabling or disabling 2FA.

After 2FA has been enabled, your login process will be:

  1. Navigate to DraftKings via the DraftKings app, mobile web, or desktop and tap Sign In
  2. On the Log In page, enter your email address and password and tap Log In
  3. Check your phone for a unique code for DraftKings. When prompted on the login screen, enter the unique code.
